Corporal Robinson & Wifebeater can not break the table. On April 10, 2004, during an IWA Mid-South card, Corporal Robinson took on Wifebeater in a Two-out-of-Three Falls Tables Match. Eventually the match went to a one-to-one tie, with the climax putting Wifebeater and Robinson on the top rope with a table set up beneath them in the ring. Both men fell through the table at the same time, but the match was rewarded to Corporal Robinson due to Wifebeater hitting the table first. The crowd berated the two men with heavy boos and was not pleased with the finish. Robinson got on the mic and said he didn't want the match to end like that, and wanted to re-do the last fall. The two men restarted the match and eventually the commentator's table ended up in the ring. Finally, Robinson had the upper hand again and went to do a running power bomb to Wifebeater through the table set-up in the corner. There was only one problem, the table didn't break or hardly even budge. When that didn't work, Robinson picked up Wifebeater and tried a belly-to-back suplex, followed by a german suplex, then a powerbomb, all with the same result. When all these attempts failed, they decided to try something different and set up the table on the outside of the ring. Robinson gave Wifebeater a russian leg-sweep from the apron to the table. When that failed to break it, Robinson picked up Wifebeater with a suplex and still did not break the table. By this point, the steel legs on the table were completely bent and mangled. After these 6 attempts with both men completely wore out, the match ended in a No-Contest. |
