Big Van Vader gets his eye knocked out of socket .

February 10, 1990 - Stan Hansen was a powerhouse, much like Big Van Vader. Both men were very over in Japan, and the two men finally faced each other at a AJPW vs. NJPW super card.

The two would go on to have several matches in Japan, but during their first match, the two exchanged very stiff and aggressive punches towards each other, like the Japanese style. As a result, his right eye came out of its socket, although it did remain under the eyelid.

Vader wore a mask the whole match, and after a brief rest hold, Vader stood up and took off his mask, revealing to the crowd that something was obviously wrong.

Vader finished the match despite the injury.
