Marty Garner lands the pedigree wrong.

On May 28, 1996, Marty Garner took on Hunter Hearst Helmsley during the taping of WWF Superstars. It was during this match that HHH went for his finisher, the pedigree.

It is reported that Garner, who had not taken the move before, assumed it was either a double underhook powerbomb or suplex. So Garner gave much more jump into the move and attempted to flip out of it while Hunter went through the move as usual.

This resulted in a very violent version of the move. There is no reports of Garner being injured, and while rumors suggest otherwise, Garner did not die, and even wrestled on a recent PPV. Another popular rumor is that this move was done to Shawn Michaels or Jeff Hardy, both of which is false.
