Super Dragon injures his knee.

On January 12, 2002 at an MPW show, Super Dragon took on Spanky in a one-on-one match.

At one point in the match, Super Dragon delivered a spin kick to Spanky sending him flying outside the ring. However, when Dragon landed on the mat, all of his weight came down on his knee.

This resulted in an early finish for the match with Dragon being out of the ring for 4 months.
