Sandman arrested at Capt. Lou Albano's 75th birthday party.

On July 20, 2008, during Captain Lou Albano's 75th birthday party in a restaurant outside of Yonkers, New York, a very intoxicated Sandman (a.k.a. Jim Fullington) gave a slurred but heart-felt speech honoring the life and career of Capt. Lou Albano.

A few hours later, Fullington, still very drunk, began flinging glasses at the restaurant's employees. The manager of the restaurant had enough and called the police.

Upon the police's arrival, The Sandman, angry that the police were called, turned on them and started throwing glasses at the officers injuring two of them.

He was subdued and charged with assault, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest. Fullington was taken to the county jail in Valhalla for psychiatric evaluation following the incident. He was denied bail on July 23, due to two previous convictions for burglary in 1983. The judge also issued a restraining order barring Fullington from contacting the owner of the restaurant where the incident had occured and Fullington was ordered to stay away from the restaurant.

Fox 5 in New York showed video of the minutes leading up to Fullington's arrest. His bail was later set at $10,000.
