Sabu breaks jaw on the guardrail.

At ECW’s House Party 1998 that took place on 1/10/1998 at the  ECW Arena, South Philadelphia, PA, Sabu took on Sandman in a Stairway to Hell Match.

At one point during the match Sabu dove to the outside while holding a spool of barbed wire. Sandman dove out of the way and Sabu landed chin first on the guard rail. The impact broke his jaw and caused a great amount of pain.

Normally a person would end the match early after receiving such an injury, however Sabu kept going and even had his manager Bill Alfonso obtain some medical tape so that he can tape his jaw shut and continue the match.
