Jake Roberts DDTs Ricky Steamboat unconscious.

On May 2, 1986 during WWF's Saturday Night Main Event, WWF owner Vince McMahon and booker George Scott wanted a special spot or bump to happen during the Jake "the Snake" Roberts vs. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat match, to culminate their feud.

McMahon and Scott wanted Roberts to use his signature DDT to Steamboat on the concrete floor.

Roberts stated in his WWE DVD that he was adament about NOT wanting to perform the move on Steamboat to the concrete, stating, "it could kill him." However, Jake's feelings changed when Steamboat told him "don't worry, I'll block it."

When it was time for the DDT, Jake lifted Steamboat and dropped him head first onto the concrete. It was apparent Steamboat was unconscious as he laid lifeless. Roberts tried to buy time by picking up Steamboat's limp body and rolling him back into the ring to put his trademark snake on Steamboat's body.

The match went to a no-contest. Steamboat was taken out on a stretcher and was unconscious, suffered a massive knot on his head, and also a concussion.
