Rey Mysterio's Pad Busts Matt Hardy open.

On the October 25th 2007 edition of WWE’s Smackdown Rey Mysterio and Fit Finlay took on Matt Hardy and MVP in a tag team match

During the match Rey reversed Matt’s move into a hurricanrana, while doing so, Rey’s kneepad sliced into the head of Hardy and caused a 7 inch gash that immediately sent blood flowing from his head.

The injury would need 35 stitches to close up and the canvas had to be changed before the next match continued. Hardy would also have to cancel his match at the following PPV.
