Chris Jericho no-sells Randy Orton's RKO.. On January 26, 2004, Evolution (Ric Flair, Batista, Randy Orton) was taking on Chris Jericho and Rob Van Dam in a handicap tag-team match on RAW. At the climax of the match, Chris Jericho had Batista in his Walls of Jericho submission finisher as every other opponent in the ring was down. Just as Batista had his hand raised ready to tap out, his teammate, Orton, jumped to his feet, ran towards Jericho, and nailed his RKO finisher. That's what was suppose to happen. Instead, as if Orton's arms were coated in butter, Jericho hardly even flinched as Orton grabbed his head and embarrassingly crashed to the ground empty-handed. Orton, without missing a beat, jumped right back up and did the same thing again successfully. |
