Nick Cage is severely burned. On July 30, 2005, CZW was hosting it's annual Tournament of Death 4, an ultraviolent tournament with dangerous weapons, expected brutality and extreme spots. During this tournament, "The Future of Hardcore" Nick Gage encountered Necrobutcher and CZW's owner Zandig in a barbed-wire lighttube sheet of glass deathmatch three-way dance. At one point, a burning wooden sheet of barbed-wire and glass was bridged between the guardrail and ring apron. With Zandig on the inside, Gage suplexed him onto the waiting flaming platform. Unfortunately for Gage, even though he was suplexing Zandig, he took the worst of the fall. Gage was instantly lost in the flames but began rolling quickly on the ground in panic. You can see in the footage that a CZW camera man operator ran to a nearby fire extinguisher and tried to help Gage, but he was too late. Nick had removed his flaming shirt and 1 second later, the cameraman doused Gage with the powder from the extinguisher. Gage suffered 1st degree burns on his back and neck causing his skin to bubble and blister directly after the match and had to be treated at a hospital. |
