A ladder breaks Joey Mercury's nose.

On December 17, 2006 at WWE's Armageddon pay-per-view, William Regal & David Taylor took on The Hardy Boyz, MNM, and Brian Kendrick & Paul London in a tag-team championship ladder match.

A crazy teeter-totter spot was set up, like in most WWE ladder matches, where Jeff Hardy would see-saw the ladder into the faces of Nitro & Mercury from the top rope.

Hardy launched himself and the spot went off as planned, except Mercury blocking the ladder in time. Mercury fell immediately to the canvas, let the referee know he was hurt, and rolled to the floor in pain, bleeding profusely.

He was rushed to a hospital afterwards and received 4 stitches on the inside of his nose and 14 on the outside, along with a swollen eye.
