Jeff Hardy Unmercifully Boo'd At His Debut ROH Show. On September 19, 2003 at Ring of Honor's annual staple show Death Before Dishonor, Jeff Hardy made his debut (as his old Willo' The Wisp character) 6 months after being fired by World Wrestling Entertainment. He took on Joey Matthews and Krazy K in a three-way dance. Even though he was booked as a babyface and brought in to help draw a bigger crowd, things did not head in a positive direction for Hardy. Before, during, and after the match, Jeff Hardy was welcomed to ROH with a huge tirade of boos, negative chants, and a downright negative attitude from the ROH crowd. The announcers suspected it was because Hardy stated he "lost his passion for wrestling" in his shoots. Whatever the reason, this was Hardy's one and only time to ever make an appearence in Ring of Honor thus far. |
