The Rock loses his voice on RAW.

In January of 1999, Mankind was in the mist of a feud with Vince McMahon's stable The Corporation, most notably with their "crown jewel" The Rock. Mankind had just defeated The Rock on January 4, not only securing his first ever WWE World Heavyweight Championship but also won the ratings war for WWE during his match, courtesy of WCW's Tony Schiavone for giving away the taped result during a live Monday Nitro.

The next week on January 11 during Mankind's in-ring interview, The Rock walked out to the entrance ramp to challenge him to a rematch. The Rock, one of the smoothest and quick-witted talkers on the mic, was having trouble with his voice due to a hoarse throat.

As the clip shows, Mankind, The Rock, and the audience all got a good laugh from poor Rocky's prepubescent-sounding voice.
