Ian Rotten shoots on Peter B. Beautiful in a "Fans Bring The Weapons" match.

On June 1, 2001 at the IWA Mid-South King of the Deathmatches, Ian Rotten, IWA companies owner and booker, took on Peter B. Beautiful in the 1st rounds of the tournament in a Fans Bring The Weapons match.

What followed was almost a mirror image of New Jack attacking Chad Austin 5 years earlier at the ECW Arena for nearly the same reasons.

Peter B. Beautiful supposedly had a ton of heat backstage before the match, and especially with the companies owner. Beautiful had a match with Harley Lewis who he didn't sell his moves for. That, along with talking trash about other IWA Mid-South stars was all it took for Ian to take his frustrations out on the "Hardcore Homosexual."

Alot of Ian's hits were not pulled and at times in the match, it seemed as if Beautiful didn't know he was being shot on at all. Understandably so due to IWA's product.

At one moment, Ian grabbed an axe handle with thumbtacks super glued on the end of it and smacked it against Beautiful's head. The smack echoed throughout the building and Beautiful look bewildered and in pain. After Ian delivered two brutal chair shots, Beautiful was down for the count. After the bell, Ian nailed Beautiful 3 more times with the chair and cut a promo on him welcoming him to the IWA.
