Overzealous fan interrupts Jim Cornette's introduction.

On September 7, 1988, the NWA tag-team champions, the Midnight Express (with Jim Cornette) were set to defend those belts against the Samoan Swat Team (with Paul E. Dangerously) at Clash of the Champions VIII.

As Cornette was introducing his tag-team, an overzealous fan showed up in the ring off camera. Within seconds (before the camera even showed him), he was already subdued by the referee.

A very cocky Cornette approached the fan with the Midnight Express and told him, "Hey fella, we're fixing to save your life. We're gonna' let you sleep it off."

The fan was taken out of the arena by security and the introduction from Cornette continued.
