Fan attacks Eddie Guerrero. The WWE was in Edmonton, Alberta Canada on May 27, 2002. In the main event, Eddie Guerrero fought Rob Van Dam in a ladder match for the Intercontinental title. During the match, a fan did the dumbest thing a wrestling fan could possibly do: he jumped the guard rail and entered the ring. On a personal level, I've never understood why someone even comprehends that idea: On the slim chance you're actually a big guy jumping the rail, the guy you're attacking is probrably going to be much bigger than you and will know how to throw a punch. Not only that, but his opponent will help him kick your ass, and the referree might get in a few shots as well. Finally after the wrestlers and referee made you look like a punk bitch on national television, the security will drag your limp body to the cement floor, handcuff you, and you'll be arrested and escorted as the entire arena laughs at you. If you're lucky, charges won't be filed against you for acting like a moron. However all those things aside, this guy didn't care. The fan jumped the rail and tried to injure Eddie Guerrero has he climbed the ladder. Eddie was able to land on his feet before the ladder tumbled and he punched the guy backwards. The referee tackled the fan into the 4 security guards ready to beat his ass. He never had a chance. |
