Eugene Injures Himself After An Awkward Dropkick Landing.

During the WWE PPV New Years Revolution that took place on January 9, 2005 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Eugene and William Regal took on Christian and Tyson Tomko in a match for the World Tag Team Championship.

At one point in the match, Eugene went for a dropkick on Tomko and came down hard on his left knee, resulting in a ruptured left patella tendon which required surgery and put him out of action until his in ring return on July 24, 2005.
