Chris Benoit suicide dives face-first into guardrail.

At WWE's Summerslam 2004 pay-per-view on August 15, 2004 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Randy Orton took on Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Championship.

During the match, Orton was on the outside of the ring rising to his feet as Beniot waited to execute a suicide dive. However, Orton dove out of the way as planned, but due to Beniot's feet catching on the ropes, his path was changed.

Benoit smacked his face straight into the guard rail snapping his head back in a whiplash-like motion. Luckily, Beniot escaped injury in what could have easily broken his nose or neck.
