Kurt Angle suffers concussion 6 minutes into Iron Man match. It was Sunday night, January 14, 2007 at TNA's Final Resolution pay-per-view. The most popular feud of 2006 in professional wrestling was "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe vs. "The Olympic Gold Medallist" Kurt Angle in their third match against each other, one-on-one. Due to the combativeness that turned to bitterness, Jim Cornette set up an Iron Man match between the two to determine once-and-for-all who is the best. Nearly 6 minutes into the 30 minute match, Samoa Joe delivered a nasty kick to Kurt Angle, striking the whole side of his head. Kurt Angle collapsed to the ground and the match continued. It wasn't realized until after the match that Angle suffered a concussion due to that kick. Angle said he doesn't remember allot of the match, but he was healthy enough to appear on two NBC Live shows the next day. Angle did not hold any bitterness towards Joe, in fact, praised him for being able to continue the match with Angle in his condition.
