Andre the Giant and Akira Maeda shoot on each other.

On April 29th, 1986, Andre the Giant took on Akira Maeda in a singles match.

Andre was known for having somewhat of a temper whenever he was angry during a match. This, combined wtih Maeda's reputation for shooting on wrestlers during a match, would turn out to be quite a surreal moment in wrestling. The match got to a point where Andre & Akira refused to lose to one another, which led to Akira shooting on Andre. He proceeded to shoot kick André's legs and then quickly back away, while the Giant stood there defenceless and moved rather slowly for Akira.

After 15 minutes of this, André voluntarily lays down to be pinned, but Akira refuses. Antonio Inoki eventually comes to the ring and demands the match to end, much to the bewilderment of the crowd, not knowing what was going on.
