Abyss receives 60 stiches after bladejob gashes his arm.

On the April 19, 2007 edition of TNA's iMPACT!, Abyss was jumped and severly beaten after his match by The Christian Coalition (Scott Steiner, Christian Cage, Tyson Tomko and AJ Styles).

As part of the beating, a barbed-wire bat was brought in. Abyss, known for punching thumbtacs and being in violent matches, had experience with taking hardcore shots & bumps. When Christian used the bat on Abyss right arm, Abyss fell to his front and quickly bladed his arm. You can see the blade lying next to Abyss at the end of the clip.

While blading is suppose to be a slight cut to draw blood, the exact opposite happened with Abyss. He ended up cutting his arm in a deep gash, resulting in a 5-inch cut that required over 60 stiches to close.
